School Climate Survey

School Year 2014-15 School Year 2013-14 School Year 2012-13

For three years in a row, parents/guardians, students and school personnel were asked to participate in the Comprehensive School Climate Inventory (CSCI), a scientific survey to assess school climate. The 2014-15 school year was the third year that CCSU took part in the CSCI online survey, after first introducing it in the fall of 2012. Results of this survey for each year can be found above.

The survey helps our school, and the overall district, understand specific climate trends, perceptions and opportunities that are used to identify and prioritize growth areas within our school action plans. Studies have shown that school climate plays a big factor contributing towards students’ success in school, which is why community participation in this survey was very important.

The CSCI survey took approximately 15 to 20 minutes to complete online. Questions were clear, precise, and easy to understand, and all responses are completely anonymous. To help to maintain anonymity, no results have been published for any sub-groups with fewer than 10 respondents.
